As an independent band, no longer signed to a record label, the members of echolyn have learned to tackle many challenges like managing, marketing and distribution - all from our collective home computers, while living across several state lines from one another. Composing, arranging and recording songs and albums is actually second nature to us now, given our 36-year history as a band, but dealing with production supply chains and delays is not something we can control once we hand off product for mass production.
Thus we need to share, with extreme disappointment, that the CDs of our two new albums are currently running about a week behind schedule from the manufacturer... and there’s nothing we can do to speed up that process other than let you know that is our current reality.
So we're reaching out tonight to let all of our pre-order friends and fans know that you are STILL first in line to receive your signed copies of our two brand new albums as soon as we get our hands on them to sign them and then ship them to you. While we’re incredibly disappointed to share this news, when the CD production plant is not in-house and you're at the whim of a company to do that work for you, there's ALWAYS ALMOST a chance that deadlines could be missed. Deepest apologies for that delay from all of us in the band.
That being said, this Friday March 7th the full digital downloads of both new "TimeSilentRadio" albums on Bandcamp will STILL be released to those who pre-ordered them (Yay!)
and for anyone new looking to pre-order physical CDs of our two new albums (CDs ordered now will not signed by the band) or any available additional titles from our backcatalog, starting this Friday you can do that via a brand new U.S. domestic sales shopping cart on our echolyn.com website. We can promise those CDs will be shipped immediately after the pre-order signed CDs go out the door via the USPS.
As much as we wish music was our main endeavor, many of you are aware that all of us in the band still work day jobs to support our families... a stark ONE INCH OF THE FALL reminder that music is our hobby, not our profession. However, we deeply appreciate and respect the faith and trust put into us from friends and fans across the world each time we announce a new album release. It is your continued belief in us that allows us to create the honest, forward-thinking, truly progressive music that echolyn has always created.
In short, THANK YOU ALL for supporting and listening to the music of echolyn! This Friday, March 7th is indeed another
huge day in our band’s musical trajectory = MORE ONCE MORE we heard you listening!!
Also note that Friday, March 7th is also Bandcamp Friday, a prime number & the 30th anniversary of our Sony/Epic/550 Music album "as the world!"
